Matero Ltd was established back in 1977 by a former banker, as a private limited liability company.

Today the company enjoys an enviable reputation and is regarded by many, as the leading company on the island, engaged in the wholesale of machinery equipment, components and spares for the Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and Ventilation trades.

For a number of years, the company operated out of its single sales outlet in Nicosia, the capital city.

In 1992, additional family members joined the company, and it was decided that an expansion was necessary, so as to accommodate the increasing demand from the expanded client base. Thus, an additional sales outlet with a central warehouse were established in the seaport city of Limassol (south coast).

It soon became apparent that the company could be better run, by transferring Head Office duties to the Limassol Office.

Late in 1999 another sales outlet was opened in the city of Paphos (west coast) and in 2001 yet another, in the city of Larnaca (south-east).

Today, with the second generation actively involved in top management positions, prospects for even further expansion and diversification, are more encouraging.
